The negative was a very overexposed HIE. I had a go at printing it anyway, toned it, and hand-coloured with pastels. I like it better than the ones that were exposed properly.
Funny, isn't it, how a bad negative can sometimes be the best. The softness of the print, the light, and the pastels go well together, and fits well with a soft feeling in the repeated roundness of forms in the composition. Lovely...
Yes,this is a very fragile looking print. but goes so well with the subject matter. it is nice to see something like this with all the diges out there just doing it on the comuter with a click of their mouse.
