From Grandfather's tool box

Had a little too much time this weekend, found a few things that brought back memories -

I like it. The theme itself is strong & begs for more exploration. 'Hope you do more.
 
I like it too. My Grandfather was a carpenter from about 1895 to 1938, then he became a farmer. His build both houses and barns, but barns were his specialty. Of course, they are mostly gone now. I have his tools which I love. Even use some of them sometimes. He had several block planes like this. My favorite tool is a "peg bore" which is used to drill the holes to peg the beams together. When I built my house in 1970-72 I used quite a few of his tools.
