Frog and Chick

This is a biological specimen that has been treated and stained with dye, so that the skin becomes translucent and the bones are a bright magenta. One of my favorite images of recent vintage.

wow that really is intense... is that really a frog? and what does chick mean, female frog, or is the title a mistake, I'm confused as to what this is in reality. I just don't remember if frogs have fingers like that.

It's a specimen frog that has been treated with chemicals to make it translucent, and the bones are magenta colored. If you look at the bottom left you can see the face of a little chicken that has been given the same treatment. Thanks for checking it out.
