I printed for pacific car and foundry for a short time; Lots of 8x10 negatives of railroad cars. Then, when they were shutting down their plant, I ended up with the job of shooting all of their equipment in situ for the auction brochure. I'm sure that it is over in China now, polluting Asia as it did our area when it was cranking out Pullman cars. Even working in there, I had an uneasy feeling about being poisoned. Unfortunately, I don't have the negs, because I was working for someone else at the time. It was a very interesting and challenging job. That stuff was huge, and it was just as they left it in a very big barn, with no useable light, so we had to use flash. LOTS of painting with light and other foolin' around. The photographs were really neat.
