I have picked up lots of negatives from various places. I think some of them may have a nitrate base. I"m starting to think I should scan and then discard them safely or pass them along.
If you don't want the risk of fire, pass them along. Don't destroy them. Pictures like this are just too cool to be lost, even if nothing is known about them.
Do you want my Nitrate film? I've been shooting my 116/616 Verichrome (NON-Safety) which is all Nitrate, for sure since I tested a piece and it exploded when I lit a flame to it, was really cool but almost burnt my finger it went up so fast haha, it's currently in my freezer, but PE says even there it's not safe as it creates it's own oxygen so even in a metal box, it will go up... want mine? I don't have the heart to throw it out... lol
