Forth Rail Bridge At Night

A picture I took a long time ago. Unknown slide film. I developed and mounted this myself so I cant't see what the film was without taking a slide out of the mount. Only posted because I just looked at the picture of Sydney Harbour bridge at night and I thought they would make a nice pair.

Thank you. It is a wonder. I was pleased that the moon was in the shot as well. Most of a roll was used to get this shot and I have many variations.

I watched an interesting BBC programme about the construction of the bridge recently. Like the Brooklyn Bridge (almost contemporary) caissons on the sea floor were used with all the risks of decompression sickness.

At 8,094 feet long the Forth Rail Bridge is a true marvel of Victorian engineering. Projects that are never ending or predictably repetitive are sometimes referred to as "like painting the Forth Rail Bridge".
