Fort Pensacola Ready Room

Very nice.
I was there a couple of years ago and had lots of fun exploring. I could have kicked myself though because I misplaced the film I shot and never have found it.

Fort Barancas? Flight training(1947) at Pensacola Main Side: A fort located located at the west end of the base in a swamp was a fort like this, as I recall, it was called Fort Barancas? Is this the one? Is it open for viewin now?

This was taken in the late 1990's and we thoought it was called Fort. Pensacola. It was definetly open then. It was mostly underground with cannon mouted on a flat top with with walls. I don't know if the last stormes that hit there did damage or not. Would suggest you contact the Chamber of Commerce in Pensacola befor returning.

I was thinking it was Ft. Pickens, which is what we toured 2 years ago, right before they had the hurricanes.
