possibly... I have never payed to much attention to the OOF foreground, it may be distracting indeed, however large print looks great to me even with this OOF foreground. thanks for a remark anyway
My reaction was different concerning the OOF foreground; the unsharpness and the light in the foreground contributed to something like a dream, a saga, a hidden story about this home showing up, now forlorn, a place that we now can just speculate about, never come to any conclusion (were they happy?....??). Personal perhaps, but I like it very much as it is; thanks for posting.

Yep, +1 for the out of focus foreground, creates an air of mystery the image something emotional rather than documentary. I also think it leads you into the image and concentrates the eye on the focal point of the house. just my 2p.
Absolutely beautiful. Darkening the foreground was a great choice, because it leads you into the picture to focus on the beauty ahead. Very smart composition and printing.
