Matt, I'm afraid the foreground lets your picture down. It is without any interesting features. I do however like the soft details in your clouds. My suggestion is that you crop out the entire foreground up to above the pole on the right hand side. I realize this does not make full use of the neg. that you shot. This of course is but my opinion.

I don't think this image should be judged as a purely decorative landscape. I find it strangely compelling to look at and the foreground with the diagonal slashes is very important.

Viewed in it's entirety, the picture is quite effective. I find that the poles tend to lead my view deeper into the image, and I also think that the diagonal slashes of the poles is too important to the image to crop out any portion.

TEX, with respect to your comments on the foreground, you may very well be right, but I confess I am quite attached to the footprints in the sand - I'll try your suggestion though!
