This was taken in January in the wetlands behind my home here in Hertford N.C. The sun was shining through the fog and reflecting behind the stump in the water. I tried to make the scan emulate the print. The clump of trees on the right has slightly more of an open feeling in the print... comments and critique welcomed.
I really like it, but it is a bit busy for me to fall in love with it. Eye catching with excellent mood. I wish I had been there, must have felt great.
I would like to thank everyone who commented. All were appreciated and the suggestions were helpful. I will try to use these suggestions as I move forward on this and other photographic ideas. By the way, Doug you have a really good eye. I didn't think my neighbor's retaining wall would show up in this. I tend to stop everything down to minimum aperture. In the future, a little softer focus will probably blend things a little better. I am giving a lot of thought to "element control" as some of you have suggested.
Beautiful moody image! I would be very proud of this one. The light is very impressive, and there's something about fog that just does really well on film. Well done!
