Thank you, this was the first of three frames. He looked up to me, but closed his eyes because it was too bright looking up toward me and the sky. The next two frames, he opened his eyes, just a bit, made his face and expression look tense. I was pleasantly surprised how much I like it, at the time, I thought it wouldn't work because of his eyes.
I really like this, Suzanne. I think that his eyes being closed add to the frame. Could be that he's enjoying some warmth from the light, pondering. My imagination sees him holding on to the edge of a swimming pool, about to let go and fall gently on the bed of flowers. That's the beauty of good photography...let our minds wander.
