I have it with the vertical VC-7 grip, allowing it to operate with ordinary AA rechargable cells. In addition, I have a strong preference for vertical shots, so using the grip is very convenient for changing composition.
Unfortunately, after a couple of years of disusage, I discovered my Dynax 7 had started to suffer from the "sticky synthetic rubber coating" problem all 7's appear to develop after 15 years or so.
Fortunately, I managed to solve this by supercoating it with transparent polyurethane "floor " laquer, that eventually dries up as a totally non-stick hard top layer, allowing me to continue using the camera without sticky goo experience.
I only should have been a bit more careful and probably diluted the laquer a bit before applying, as the coating appears somewhat uneven, degrading the look of the camera. Although this issue only affects the swing back, because that is where the self destructive coating was applied by Minolta. The also rubberized grips don't have this issue so far, its a different material, and the plastic front still looks prestine.
