A float plane winters over on Lake Hood in Anchorage, the world's busiest seaplane base. Alaska has roughly six times as many pilots per capita and 16 times as many aircraft compared to the rest of the United States.
This is an instant flashback for me. When I landed at Anchorage back in the late 60's for a 2 year assignment in the state, this was my first recall of seeing all the float planes lining this lake. Although being winter and lots of snow I don't recall seeing them buried as deep as this one is here. Very nice coverage in the highlights and darker areas. Nicely captured scene.
