Your composition is good although I think a bit more of a crop along the bottom to remove some of the foreground would strengthen the picture. It may be the scanning but the contrast is very low and the photo looks rather flat. There is a guide provided by someone on this site on how best to scan your photo's for uploading.

thanks Tex, you are right to much of bottom that has no interest. The scan has lot's of chances to be a bad one, I have no idea how to scan properly, I will look for the scanning guide you mentioned. Thanks a lot for the comment.
