I cancelled the long exposure experiment I intended to do, and just made some photographs. What you can't see are the manatees swimming and sounding near the pier, and the piper in the distance with his Uillean Pipes.
Location
St. John's River, Switzerland, Florida
Equipment Used
Mamiya C220, 55mm
Film & Developer
Expired (2001) HP5+ in D76 1:1 for 9'30"
Paper & Developer
scan
Lens Filter
deep yellow (though I don't think it did much...no blue to hold back
Though I didn't do the experiment I had planned, I did learn that long expired film (2001) that's not been frozen loses contrast in a big way. When I revisit this place, it will be with fresh material.

This is a very clever composition, as the bend in the left rail of the Pier allows you to defy classic composition, but at the same time create an image that works well within the frame.

Clive, it took all my strength to bend that damn pier around for a better composition! lol!! Thanks!

Thanks, Totoc. The guy who was fishing was also reading what I think was a large collection of poems.
