thanks erik and mark...

andrew, this particular pkg. of slavich has given me none of those pesky emulsion lines..not sure if all my other pkgs were bad or if it's cuz this is a matte finish or if it might be cuz i am using fotospeed lith instead of rollei...whatever the case, i am happy and hope the 2nd package i have will be equally easy to use.

hi stephen...

glad you liked it.

it's pretty simple but a bit time consuming...i have taken a number of old negs that were not print worthy and melted them with a candle.. singed the edges, melted the middle, bubbled the emulsion in some places...then, i stacked 2 appropriate negs together in a haphazard kinda way and printed them in lith.

those i have done thus far have required quite a bit of burning and dodging but the result is pretty cool. they don't sit flat in the neg holder and do not allow the holder to close completely.. it's fun to see how they turn out.

this one uses a neg of a dead fish on the frozen bay near my house and also a shot of the snow fence on that same beach..

hope this helps
