Interesting... The eyes are a little unsharp, which slightly bothers me. What could possibly be making your BW look pink?

Are you scanning? I think you forgot to change the scanner from color to "greyscale" put it at 16 bit greyscale, the pink is most likely a pink base which happens sometimes. Am I wrong?

I had this developed at Central Camera. This is from the 'low res' folder for upload. The original is not so pink, (am curious now if they did scan in color instead of gray scale). Looks like i focused on her hair (AF picked up) instead of her eyes. Should just keep it in MF. I still wanted more sparkle from the water, but, just enough to make it dreamy. Thank you for all the comments.

I would suggest neutralizing her skin, getting it brighter either with a reflector or strobe of some kind, she looks very dark and shooting against the sun you have to choose between the subject and the background. It's not easy in bright sun. Keep it up! and yes I would just convert this to B&W any computer program can do this, even basic stuff.Keep it up

Hmm. The ones you sent me were nicely B&W. I'm surprised Central did this to them. Somebody else had a thread this week complaining about their processing. Maybe they aren't as good as their reputation. Is this why you're looking for a scanner? The K2 will autofocus on whatever is closest to the camera, unless you choose a particular one of the little squares. As closed down as you would have had this, I bet her eyes are in focus and you would see it with a higher res scan. Did you use a tripod?

I didn't use a tripod with the EOS but did use one as a mono with the N90. I'll post some of those to. I wanted to get out there by 7-8am but this little lady took 3 hours to get ready. This was taken at noon, the worst time to shoot.
