I think this is very cool.
If you have a 2nd one try gold & selenium toning it..
'orange' foma lith prints can come out pretty sweet. But only iof you have a 2nd..this is great.
Thanks Vic. You may recall some PMs from 2 years ago....it took me that long to finally do this. Guillaume has been kind enough to help with chem suggestions and a starting point. This is from a glass wet plate. I want to steer away from the orangeish tones and head towards a warmer goldeny brown. I have selenium but didn't want to dip into toning on my first time out. Will that pull back the orange?
I think this one might have been more orange than the others because of the KCN fixing of the plate and the varnish. The plate warmth is here http://www.apug.org/gallery1/showimage.php?i=64482
Also, I was warned about fixing bleaching the highlights. I using 1:7 fixer per Guillaume recommendation. Will a more dilute fixer have less of a bleaching effect.
Scott,
You need more exposure on this one. You pulled the print too early. Blacks are not here yet
Don't change the fix dilution. Fix bleaches so take it into account.
