First contact #1

First contact #1

These are my first contact prints from the first batch of 4x5 negatives I done myself. Okay, nothing real exciting, but I managed to get through the whole process without screwing it up completely. Still a ways to go (must get dust under control!), but I wanted to share this because it's YOUR fault. Not too long ago I was content with my old Nikon kit, but then I started coming here. Which lead to more stuff, another Nikon, then a Speed Graphic, and now a D5XL is on the way. Damn you all!

I bought the Arista because I wanted some relatively cheap film to practice with, but it turns out to be pretty decent on its own.

I'm going to pick some of that up when I get through the Forte 400 I have. It really is a nice film.

Great image, too. I love diners.

BTW, we should compare notes on this syndrome. I, too, was happy with my lowly 35mm until I came here. Now I'm getting a Graphic View, a Beseler 45, and a whole bunch of flack from my significant other! :D

Keep it up!
