First Carbon Transfer

Somehow when I was typing this image decided to load itself? There is some visible relief in this image that you can not see on the screen and it is much more vibrant in person. What impressed me was the detail that I held in the shadows. I need to tailor my negs for this process.

I recently spent a weekend attempting carbon...it turned into an abject disaster with not a single recognizable print. This image is wonderful...I stand in awe!

Kent, thanks. I spent a lot of time reading and studying the process. I did take a quick workshop with Vaughn Hutchins a couple of months ago but it was rushed. I'm glad I paid attention. The actual print is much nicer than the scan.

i can imagine how great this looks in real life -- carbon prints have always looked magical to me .... time to quit wishin' and go learn how to do it myself ..... thanks for sharing

Rich, I found that if I followed the procedures very closely I got a nice image. There are a lot of variables to control but the creative possibilities are unlimited.
