Looks pretty good! This is a historic neg or your own? Half the battle is starting with a neg that has enough range, and old glass negs are likely to have the contrast needed for albumen.

I'm mixing up a fresh batch of albumen right now.

Vic, It was with Coffer's C.C. Harrison lens. I tried to pretty much stay with the one lens for the three days just so I would get a feel for the exposure times. But I did make a few images with his box brownies.

David, This is my own neg. Of course John assisted me with the intensification. All I did was double the exposure time of what a tintype was being shot at and then triple the development time. Then of course we intensified the negative. It was actually a lot easier than I thought. The trick is in learning how to get a good pour of collodion. I practiced with some of John's old collodion for a couple of hours the first morning, to get a feel for it.

David, We had a ball. We'd shoot all day and print and then after dinner we would varnish plates and tip a few while doing it (steadies the hand you know) by oil lamps.

Very nice - I like the print and I'm encouraged to see these "first" prints posted here. I mixed up the albumen last winter and then lost my nerve before ordering the silver. After these recent threads and particularly your posted print, I'm going to start again!
