Fire Tower Road

6x7cm silver gelatin contact print.

Made on the drive out after a long hike. The road had a limestone chalk about it and in this light I couldn't resist. I was only able to make one exposure of this composition before the light changed. (Thankfully my girlfriend helped with vehicle spotting.)

Thanks fellows! Hope I get to share this in person with you at John's, Robert. Still not sure whether or not I'll be able to make it this time...

Interesting photograph, and I can see why you were attracted to the light. I love the woods, so I'm a bit sentimental, but I like this very much. Great design too, and really well printed as always.

Thank you T and Marianne! I'm thinking of taking another crack at this print now that I've had some time to live with it. Maybe play up the light areas of the road a bit...
