The inside surfaces of the sink have two coats of exterior oil based wood primer and 3 coats of Sherwin Williams Water Based Catalyzed Epoxy paint. The outside surfaces have one coat of primer and two coats of epoxy paint.
There's Z-flashing on top of the back and right sides of the sink----plywood will set on top of the flashing for a back splash and will be screwed to the wall.
C - thanks for this weekend's episode of DR building! Materials prices pls! Outstanding job! Three more episodes left (plumb, exhaust and final setup?) Thanks, Andy
You have the sink sloping down to the drain, right?
(I ask because after I made my sink stand and had it completed and installed, I noticed that the spectacular job I did making it perfectly level was the exact wrong thing to do. Fortunately for me all that I had to do was put a piece of plywood under the feet at the far end - mine's freestanding).
The sink is just sitting on top of the frame and not attached anywhere and what I haven't put in place yet are the shims between the frame and the sink that will sufficiently "unlevel" it when it's ready to use, but thanks for asking.
Andy, The cost of the SW product was $105 for a gallon of the part A resin coating and $41 for a quart of the Part B hardener. It certainly didn't take a gallon of resin coating for this project, but I have other good uses for the rest of the epoxy. I only mixed a quart for this project and I don't believe Part A can be purchased in less than a gallon, but I'm not for certain.
