I mounted the faucet to a 1x4 piece of cedar, the cedar is screwed to the top of doubled up 2x4s screwed together from the back side, then screwed to the plywood back splash and through to the wall studs with 6" heavy duty Timberlok wood screws found at Lowes--I recommend pre-drilling when using the heavy duty screws.

I purchased the cheapest faucet at Lowes for $29 and mounted the Delta Water Temp II regulator to it. Eventually I want to install a regulator from Hass that will go 3 feet further down from this one. The water temp does the job, but has a tendency to flucuate when I least expect it, so will eventually have unregulated and regulated outlets. For some strange reason in all this, I have failed to give filtration a thought, it can always come later if I want.

Installing a prehung door is next.
Very innovative, but probably not to code. Enjoy. Jon

Thanks.
However, the plumber who installed the 3/4" Pex supply lines, the drain, and the venting, would disagree. He was so strict on code, that he contacted the inspector for some clarifications before starting the job. The mixing valve has a check valve on it as well, $10 from the plumber.

Looks good, but I would consider braided flexible lines to the faucet - especially for the hot.
