I gotta ask, why do you put in the date taken and then the date printed?

I like seeing that.... It gives a better idea of the original vintage of the image but also the timing and type of materials used in the printing. This image was rather close in dates but many have a broader range. Also, it makes me feel less guilty in the delays to a final print that I tend to procrastinate to!

Some people will pay more for a print if it is more contemporaneous with the original photo. I have even seen one site where the artist charges more for his "vintage" prints than the more recent ones. In any case, some people like this information.
