Fentress, TX - Old House

I spent the morning out shooting on saturday, then spent the afternoon and sunday printing a bunch.
One of the negs I shot sat morning.
Used the most front rise I've ever used with my F and S 12x20 and 355 G Claron. Must have been close to 3 " of rise, managed to not have vignetting even (likely due to the closer than infinity focus).

Really loved the shadows and geometry of this old house's front facade. Reminded me of a plantation home.

Always appreciate any comments/critiques.

I really enjoy those strong vertical lines. Makes it a strong composition. Nice, Matt!

Thanks Thomas and Andrew.
It was a wonderful morning out shooting ... a good neg or two was just icing on the cake.

Nice shot Matt... I really enjoy seeing your work from that 12x20!

i love the imbalance ..
the wild trees/bushes in
the shadows on the right
and the sunlight, and clean left side ..
all linked together by that horizontal line
the dark shadow that mimics all those tiny lines
that run horizontal from the clapboards ..

this is an architectural historians dream

great view matt!
