Thanks marc,
this photograph is meant to be something new, in and of itself, a design USING the fence, shadow, road, pond and texture of the grass. i believe including more would compromise not only the simplicity of the moment but change the image to a photograph OF the fence. thanks again. doc
I see what you're going for, and would offer one suggestion. To strengthen your idea, you might see if cropping the photo so the road is not visible helps make the image more absract. Taking out that one item may make the composition more about lines and rythem than about a fence, shadows, a pond and some grass.
david,
i tried the composition you\'re refering to on the ground glass. i prefer this one because of the symmetry and balance created by the shapes of the water and road in apposing top corners. thank you for taking the time to crituque my photograph. doc
thanks gma. naturely, the shadows are what drew me to the scene. i spent a good deal of time trying to make sense of it and thought this was the best option and made good use of all the corners. doc
