Fence, Mist And Snow

First in a short series of images captured over Christmas and New Year in The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. It's been an amazing period of snow here in Blighty and it looks like more arriving tomorrow!

Spectacular! Well done. Interested to know if you tried it with the left slightly cropped leaving out the angled fence post? Not a criticism, just a question. It seems to make it even more stunning if that is possible.

Bill, yes I did try it without the fence post but it somehow seemed unfinished. The fence post, for me, provides an anchor for the image - it feels like it's the point of reality and as the fence moves into the distance the world becomes less and less real, more dream-like. That's my take on it anyway but I'd be interested in other people's views.
