Abondond intakes and barns on the slopes of Wild Boar Fell in Cumbria part of a on going project looking at creation of the landscape of the northern dales of England.
Now this is what I call warmtone - provided that the print is as warm as it appears on the scanner. Looks great.
My worry with everything I've seen with Ilford warmtone is that even with warmtone dev it's seems very subtle, too subtle for my tastes but this one isn't. Maybe PQ universal is the key.
I know its not the right area but there's a touch of the Wuthering Heights aura here. Atmospheric
Nice shot. Sums up the ruggedness of the landscape and the way of life. Must admit, when I climbed up Wild Boar fell didn't see much that was photogenic, then again I must have been walking with eyes closed. Pentaxuser, you're dead right about Ilford warmtone! It's certainly not from the Record Rapid stable, but I like it all the same. PQ universal does give good warm tones but not appreciably better than Harman warmtone.
Ah - Drat! as they used to say in the pirate films. Graham spoiled my illusion with the words sepia and selenium.
OK at least when I try my warmtone paper and dev I'll know not to call "foul referee" when mine looks decidely insipid by comparison. I'll match you yet, Frank Sutcliffe, but only with the help of Fotospeed.
