It's an Epson Perfection flatbed with a tranny hood. I can't remember the model number offhand, but it's quite a few years old.
This was scanned at 1200dpi using the scanner's choice of levels and resampled down to 650 pixels on its width. The scanner may have thrown in an unsharp mask for good measure, but no other manipulation was performed.
Actually, I've never liked the neg scans I get from this unit; the scans of my prints are much better!
Thanks Frank. Mine is a canoscan 9900f with a neg and slide carrier. I does a fantastic job of prints, maybe my technique needs to be looked at!!! I've added this photograph to my favourites gallery.
