Father and Son

I'm part of a group of photographers literally photographing the streets of Kyoto for a photo project about the streets of Kyoto based on an old song about...wait for it...the streets of Kyoto. Unfortunately the scans don't show the subtle lith colours of the prints.
Location
Nishikijidori, Kyoto

Whatever the apologies, the image in this gallery is so touching and terrific. Kyoto, an ancient place of intrigue, has grown up but is still alluring. Moose, please share the link to the finished project when the time is right.

@ericdan Actually, they are a little warm in real life, a nice sandy colour. But for whatever reason I cannot get my scanner to pick up those subtle colours when scanning the prints. I do prefer weaker solutions (1+25 - 1+40) in hot lith (at least 30C or hotter) for this paper, but can only get 4-5 prints before the pepper fogging becomes annoying.

The "baby torii" and "stairs" images in my gallery are closer to the colour that I usually get with Fujibro, although they are a bit warmer than this series of images.

@ericdan Well, the Fujibro has been discontinued (along with so many other products from Fuji) so if you want to try it there isn't much time left. Only the graded paper liths, not the variable contrast paper. And of course it's RC. It's very slow in the developer so higher temps are a must - it's the difference between 3-5 minutes in the developer (at 35C) and 40-60 min in the developer (at 20C). All I can seem to find is the harder grades (3 and 4) now, and usually in sizes I don't really use, but you might be luckier sourcing it up in Tokyo.
