Farmhouse

This is a work print with dust issues, partially toned in thiocarbamide. I'm new to Multigrade paper and am investigating how to get it to respond to selenium, which I'd like to use instead. This is a very challenging negative with a wide overall contrast range but low local contrast, but after many hours of work it's starting to get to where I want it so I thought I'd throw it into the gallery. Thanks for looking!

I love this Mark. Really beautiful.

Mark, I like your photo, its a very dramatic composition. It looks a movie set from an Hitchcock film. I can see the problems you are facing with the contrast and I would suggest you try a different filter (4 or 5) and why not develop the print in Ilford Multigrade Dev., it was after all intended to be used with that paper.
I look forward to seeing how you get on.

Cheers

This is fantastic. If this is the work print I am sure the finished product will be stellar.

well seen.

Very beautiful Mark! I really like the highlights in the windows. A harder contrast in the sky would be quite dramatic - it is great either way imo though. well done
