There is a very heavy blue tint over the shot, is this intentional or was it a side effect of the light?

This film expired 27 years ago. The magenta cast is partly due to lighting but mostly because of the age of the film. Compare the other two shots to see the effect more clearly. My wife actually likes this magenta tinge.

I just noticed the expiration date. Personally, I like the color cast, kinda gives a dusky feel to the shot.

cool! I'm experimenting with expired film too but I'm using Ektachrome and I've been noticing there's a lot less shifting of color with that than what you're getting with the Kodachrome.
