Andrew--it took a crazy amount of work to get to that first image, but yes--I'm hooked. Probably the ether fumes.

Thanks. No wonder I didn't get any cards! It was Quinn Jacobson's idea to honor the memory of Frederick Scott Archer--the inventor of the process. The site is at http://www.wetplateday.org/

Hard work pays off! Obviously... Lovely plate.
I hope I never try wet plate. I really don't need one more photographic process to focus on right now... The results are very cool. I also enjoy how this image is almost void of swirlies. I find that very refreshing.

Thomas, it's calling you.... try to steer away, if you can... Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!

Thanks Thomas. My will is too weak to avoid wet plate. I like the look of Petzvals mainly for the sharp center and soft edges, although it's fun to swirl things sometimes. I'd like to have a nice set, so I can control the effect I want depending on the film/plate size.

Yesssss.... It's calling me.
