Experiments in GAF 70mm cutting to 120

So a very kind APUGer and I have been working on a cutting system for 70mm to 120. I'm the supplier of test film and spools/backing paper, and he does the real work. I received the first test roll from him and shot some grass today, the shinny overgrown wheat looking stuff.

On top of that I experimented with an HC-110 deviation (I usually use Ilfsol 3 for old films as it seems to cut down on fog, today I had commented on a thread about it, and how it was better than HC-110 (B) for old fogged films. But HC-110 is really much cheaper, so I wanted a way to cut fog and perhaps save money using HC-110 so I tried using it at 1:25 and it worked much better... I'll call this Dilution (S) for Stone :-p

The grain comparisons are severe though, Ilfsol 3 was very sharp with very defined grain, HC-110 (S) is fine but the grain is very soft and blurred, similar to how Acros 100 looks to me, but with less contrast.

There were a few snags that need to be worked out (cut went into the frame only twice but otherwise VERY straight and even).

Because shooting 70mm at 55 images/ 15 feet at a time and trying to load it into the metal spiral and not skip a track and use up 2L of chemical at a time is just very difficult and I thought cutting it and using it as 120 might be easier to deal with it.
