Evie ..again!

Another shot of my daughter... my favorite subject lately it would seem! At any rate, a local acquaintence came over after he had attended Quinn Jacobson's collodion workshop in Denver to see how other folks go through this process. This was the first plate I made, he made another of Evie who was also obliging for that as well, but that did not turn out too well unfortunatetly. Apologies for the scanner dust, my scanner needs the platen cleaned underneath (once a year thing) to remove the dust and offgas haze. This is also a scan of a varnished plate.

Beautiful, Andy! You're getting so good at these wet plate portraits. Evie is such an expressive girl, isn't she?! And, please don't apologize for making portraits of her - they are really great regardless of who you're photographing, and it's interesting to see her grow older this way.
