May I ask about the lighting setup in your portrait series? It's one of the first things I noticed..as to my earlier comments about Efke paper, yes it's highly contrasty. Like, pretty much black and white only.
This new product looks really appealing, so I'm keen to try it out myself in my 8x10
Hi Colin, The contrast is fine to me. It works well, grey gradation are pleasant, tough I can imagine that some will prefer a much longer greyscale.
About light setting. The bellow factor is about 2.5 a 3 stops. The paper is about iso 3, so no need to say that a lot light is required. I use three Bowens Esprits. The first attempt was with two long small softboxes and one beauty dish at 10 past12 , but to much light fall off.
Now I use two umbrellas, left at 11, right 11,5 and a straigth key light at 11.7, so approx 1 stop lightratio... (I'm going to try 2 stops for the next portraits) and f setting around 5.6
