I love these colors. At least, on this monitor at work, it looks like surreal colors. Not quite cartoon Velvia colors but nice pleasing colors.
Wait a sec...on description is says Nikonos V. The underwater camera? Very cool. My buddy use to use a III in NYC when it rained and snowed. He was a street photographer. Pretty smart for doing that.
Like I said, you gotta pack everything out...even the "johnny box". Sorry if this is offensive to anyone, but I think he is small enough to just add a bit of humor.
The NikV makes a good canoe-kayak camera. Rugged, good optics (if limited) and totally waterproof.
The colors on the Green River are amazing. Watching the canyon change colors during the day is great. The river itself is essentially mud, though.
A crapper with a good view is essential on any camping trip. A friend of mine has been known decide on a camp site based on a view from a good potential crapper. With the view in this shot I would say it might be worth an extra day of contemplation.
