Former carpenter and blacksmith shop at Lock Ridge Furnace, a late 1800s hot blast iron works. Last Saturday was "Argust 18th," Argus Day; used last roll of 35mm 125PX through my C-3. Lighting varied wildly, not one of my best Argus Days -- but hey -- images made with a camera I've owned since 1957!
Thanks! @awty, yes the day started on August ("Argust") 1st in 2001 and falls one day later in the year each year, so next year will be August (uh -- Argust) 19th. I don't know what they plan to do after 2031, but then at my age it may not matter.
I've been participating since 2006 when I first learned of it. It got me to do a bit of CLA and rangefinder calibration among other things.
The effort is promoted by the Argus Collectors Group and each year participants can send in two shots which they put online. The group is small and a bit haphazard in operation (such as several years early on lost to a server crash), but brings out some interesting stuff.
