Elysian Fields

Aftermath Day 4 - Tuesday 17th

This evening, I was back from the Photography exhibition at "Jeu de Paume" gallery.

Philippe Halsman's works was on display, including his famous "Jumpology" serie,
and photos and film with Salvadore Dali, among many.

It was marvelous, light, graceful, and funny, in the same time.

All I need in this rather gloomy evening.

Not too much crowd and cars was wandering along the Champs, there is probably many less tourists than usual.

Extract from Encyclopedia Britannica :
"Elysium, also called Elysian Fields or Elysian Plain, in Greek mythology [...] . By the time of Hesiod, however, Elysium was a place for the blessed dead, and, from Pindar on, entrance was gained by a righteous life. Later writers made it a particular part of Hades, as in Virgil, Aeneid, Book VI."
