Ellen and William

It had rained earlier that day. We took some "snapshots" with the LF and this was one of them.

If you are a parent you know that pictures like this don't come often and when they come, one has to be greatful for having a camera ready.

What a precious photograph. I'm amazed at your ability to make spontaneous portraits with a large format camera.

All the best,
Daniel

Thanks to you all. I should maby clarify my spontaneous style. I very rarely tell my models how to stand nor what to do. Maybe I will help them a bit, by telling them to move an arm or so to make the image better.
When this was taken I simply said to Ellen and William to sit down so I could focus. But I guess they were a bit tired or just happy to be togeather so they started to cuttle (sp?) and I just said:
- Don't move!!
and then I took this picture.

This is a wonderful photo. I too am amazed with the spontaneity you get with a 4x5.
Thanks for posting this photo.
