I feel sure that some place there is a discussion about the best way to go about creating images for APUG display. Somebody please point me in that direction. This image looked ok as a d***tal file before I messed with it, now it looks like, well, not ok. Help!
 
Getting rid of the frame would be a good start.

Converting large scans to good looking jpegs is a skill as important as any other. Try the webpresenter pro plugin at fredmiranda.com. Always convert to sRGB, and slightly sharpen to maintain the look of the original.
