An excellent, semi-candid image of form and being, though the subject does look awkwardly posed. It looks like you can put in every colour you can think of, but flesh comes out as ... flesh. A+
 
Well, the tree stumps were quite old and well-worn so no risk of splinters, especially across the grain like that. But the bark was crumbling so it made a lot of dust. Keeping the flesh tone is a matter of manipulating the subsequent layers applied - you strip away the colors that you don't want from any given area with a watercolor brush.
 
Technically excellent! But the subject looks painfully uncomfortable.
