El Cap in Palladium/Platinum

Most of the Pt/Pd images I've done use digital negatives, but this does not (!). I decided to learn how to use the Na2 method with this 4x5 negative. It was processed for normal silver printing. The scan isn't great so please excuse the blown area at El Caps base...it is a bit more detailed in the original

could i ask how you determined the amount of na2 to use for this neg? i am about to try out some na2 myself to rescue some underdeveloped (for pt/pd) negs and am pondering where to start .... enjoyed the image; thanks for posting your experiment!

rbergeman,

I'm new to Na2 just like you. If you go to Dick Arentz's website, he has a chart that he recommends for the "Na2 method". That is where I'm going to start from.

I just got back to PT/PD and started using Na2 from the old way. there are some threads on here talking about it and have a lot of info so try to find those. second get Arentz book the sec. run, I have both and the sec does talk alot about it. and has charts on how to get different levels of contrast.
