Eider duck

Shot at Arundel Wildlife and Wetlands Centre, southern England. The eiders are a resident population there.

I commented in a thread on how this paper/dev combination always comes out orange - this is a good example. Not suitable for every print!

Very nice print! As Mike says, the blacks are full and really 'black'. That richness in tone is something that can be difficult to do with lith. Nice job!

As tmike says it looks more copper on my screen as well but for this shot it's a nice effect. Might be OK for old machinery and vintage cars.

Hi Pete,

1+1+40 is very dilute for SE5 Lith. You asked about dilution in my Allerheiligen Falls image. I usually end up with a 1+1+15 to 1+1+25 dilution. This gives enough color with Fomatone and keeps development times well down 10 minutes. The allerheiligen series used a setup meant for Kentona but then I realized that this setup worked very well for Fomatone also.

Now this image works very well with this intense color. It is definitely an eye catcher. Great movement and detail and very well printed. I like it. Well done.

Cheers
Ruediger
