Nice shot. Where near Vernal? Spent one summer in Dinosaur CO, studying prairie dogs, and a lot of our field sites were just over the border in Utah and looked like this. Most were east south east of Vernal. Some of them would literally have thousands of dinosaur bone fragments wash out of the mounds after every rain! Does Kennedy Wash ring a bell as the area you were in?
Anyway, fine print, beautiful place, and fond memories.
Thanks,
Mike
Very nice Robert. I like the sense of depth without much sense of scale. I wonder if the top left corner might need burned abit? It looks alright with the black border but if it's trimmed and mounted that might change. Reguardless, this is nice. Looks like place I'd love to visit. Best. Shawn
The black border is from the rebate of the negative. I keep that in most of my prints to show full frame.
As for the corner... I feel that it's important to have a balance in an image, but also a sence of rhythm. I like having an open door to the back of the image. I also feel it is set off a little better by the boarder.
