Easter egg race car

This sculpture commishioned in 2002 to commemorate the first ever motor race in the UK in the year 1902. The race which was held in Bexhill on Sea was won by Leon Sonpollet in his steam powered Easter Egg car at a speed of 54 mph. The sculpture is based on Leon Sonpollet's Easter egg car.
