All I remember about the day I toook this photo, apart from it being bitterly cold, was as I was busy taking pics of the pier architecture, I looked around towards the shore and lo and behold the buildings were bathed in this brilliant, almost surreal lighting. I knew that the sun was setting fast and had about five minutes to get some shots in before I lost this magnificent light. And having to change lenses ASAP to an ultra wide
zoom 18/35 Nikkor I managed about three or four shots and this I think was the best.
I was also cursing that I didnt bring a second camera loaded with Velvia. But there you go, I was quite pleased with what I got.
Thanks, Blighty and clogz for comments
Warm Regards Julian
