East River Bathers, NYC 2007

In my 43 years of experiencing NYC life, this was a first for me. I guess it's cleaner than I thought or less clean than their parents imagined.

That the Brooklyn Bridge above us and the Manhattan bridge to the left.

I've read that the reason there are fountains in all the NYC playgrounds is that there had previously been 2-3 child drownings per week in the Hudson and East Rivers during the summer months.

Well done. You're going lith crazy lately, Vic!

Do you find you need to overexpose to get a proper print or have you been able to print "normal" negs with much success? Best. Shawn

The medium you have chosen is ideally suited to the point you are trying to make here. Which is, I assume, that children at the present, 2007, are at serious risk due to failure to provide amenities amidst such apparent wealth.
Thanks for posting,
Regards,
John.

Brilliant, Victor. Coburn's 'Williamsburg Bridge' (1909) comes to mind... I think you have a unique style, a beautiful one, with your Holga and lith printing. I'm very happy to see these fantastic photographs, on a row, one after another from you! They are phenomenal!
