I like this image. I personally would have levelled out the horizon a bit more - the little dip on the LHS causes an optical illusion that that side is 'down' a bit. Anyway, it's a small point, since I do like this image. I like the detail in the monkey grass (that's what I call it anyway), like the deep blue. I wonder what the image would have looked like if the angle were a few degrees to the right to include the entire tree? Just wondering.

Thanks everyone. Art, I did think of the horizon, but left it that way since there really is a slope in the far distance. The grass is called "spinafex" and is all over central Australia. It grows in a circular clump, and has very sharp edges. I would like to return here to photograph again someday, but I don't know when, since this is pretty far away - it is 79 miles south of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
